The USB output, which is what gives the Charge series of speakers their name, is on the back of the speaker. On the bottom of the speaker, there is a small stand with five small lights that show how much battery is left. Using the JBL Connect app, you can connect this speaker wirelessly to other JBL Connect-enabled speakers to boost the sound and spread it out. It has a long battery life of 20 hours and can also be used as a speakerphone. And, for better or worse, the size and weight of the new model have grown by about 20%. Like the ones that came before it, you can lay it flat or stand it up. It has an IPX7 rating, which means it can be completely submerged in water for a short time. The Charge 2+ is water resistant, but the model that comes after it is fully waterproof. However, you can get one for less than AU $200. The JBL Charge 3 looks a lot like the highly rated JBL Charge 2+ and costs the same (£150 or $150). This portable Bluetooth speaker is blessed with a 6000mAh battery, which is darn impressive - even if its recently announced successor, the Charge 4, takes that to. It doesn’t take a sleuth of Sherlock Holmes’ stature to uncover the killer feature of the JBL Charge 3.
